LNT001 suppression-without-reason

warning enabled by default

An inline suppression ! fobis: ignore[ID] gives no reason.

Why

A suppression silences a finding forever; without a reason, nobody can later tell whether it is still justified. Write the reason after the bracket: ! fobis: ignore[COR020] state kept on purpose.

Reported

fortran
real :: total = 0.0  ! fobis: ignore[COR020]

Preferred

fortran
real :: total = 0.0 ! fobis: ignore[COR020] running total across calls is intended

Suppressing

For one occurrence, with the reason on the same line (or alone on the line before the statement):

fortran
! fobis: ignore[LNT001] <why this occurrence is fine>

For the whole project, ignore = LNT001 in the fobos [lint] section.
