Commands

Every command, by what you use it for. Each page lists all options, generated from the command line.

Finding papers

Command	What it does
mosaic search	Search for papers across all configured sources.
mosaic similar	Find papers similar to a given paper by DOI or arXiv ID.
mosaic watch	Saved searches that report only papers new since the last run.
mosaic cite	Format and print a citation for a paper by DOI.

Getting PDFs

Command	What it does
mosaic get	Download a paper by DOI, or bulk-download all DOIs from a .bib/.csv file.
mosaic import	Move PDFs you downloaded yourself into the library, named and recorded like get.
mosaic auth	Manage browser sessions for authenticated PDF access.

Your library

Command	What it does
mosaic cache	Inspect and manage the local SQLite cache.
mosaic index	Build or update the vector index for semantic search and RAG.
mosaic ask	Ask a question about your cached papers using RAG.
mosaic chat	Interactive RAG chat session over your cached papers.
mosaic compare	Compare a set of papers across structured dimensions using an LLM.
mosaic network	Analyse the local citation network and visualise paper clusters.

Global options

Put them before the command: mosaic --verbose search ....
